1. Surveying the Score · The Union Depository

At the Vanilla Unicorn office in Strawberry, Trevor Philips welcomes Michael De Santa while keeping the corpse of the former manager, Leon, stuffed in a refrigerator. Michael expresses his disgust at Trevor's hospitality, but Trevor dismisses the tension by claiming he has changed. Shortly after, Franklin Clinton and Lester Crest arrive, and Lester proposes a plan to rob the Union Depository, the largest vault in Los Santos. He explains that it holds $200 million in gold bullion and that while succeeding in this so-called 'Big Score' might force them to live as fugitives from the authorities forever, it would be their greatest masterpiece.
To conduct the survey, the group splits into two teams. Michael and Franklin take Michael's car toward the Arcadius Business Center to observe the bank's security system from the ground. During the drive, Franklin expresses his feeling that he is taking a leading role in the heists and points out the frequent bickering between Michael and Trevor. Michael promises to explain his long-standing bad blood with Trevor later, ending the conversation. Upon arriving at the destination, Michael and Franklin confirm that there is only one guard at the rear entrance of the Union Depository. Franklin expects an easy infiltration, but Michael analyzes that since the gold is stored deep underground, actual access will be much more difficult.
At the same time, Trevor and Lester head to the Sandy Shores Airfield and board a helicopter Trevor stole from the FIB. While flying around Bolingbroke Penitentiary to avoid attracting police attention, Lester explains that the Union Depository's security is on par with government agencies and that a special police team is on standby 24/7. Upon reaching the skies over Murrieta Heights, the two spot a convoy of two armored cash transport vehicles heading toward the bank from Incense Boulevard and begin tracking their route from the air.
Trevor suggests ambushing the transport vehicles under the bridge on Little Bighorn Avenue, but Lester objects, stating that the GPS trackers installed on the vehicles would lead to immediate detection if they were dumped in the river. As the transport vehicles enter a short tunnel, Lester determines that hijacking them inside the tunnel would avoid suspicion. Later, Lester discovers a subway tunnel construction site nearby, has Trevor stop the helicopter, and films the interior of the site to gather information on infiltration routes.
After finishing the survey, Lester devises a basic plan to hijack the two cash transport vehicles, load them with gold, and exit through the front gate with confidence. He mentions that they will need a backup helicopter identical to Trevor's for the escape and asks Trevor if he can remove the name written on the side of the helicopter, but Trevor flatly refuses. On the way back to Sandy Shores, Trevor brings up his plan to rescue Brad Snider from prison again, but Lester draws a line, telling him to resolve that issue with Michael directly. Meanwhile, as Michael returns to Franklin's house, he avoids answering Franklin's questions about what happened in North Yankton and about Brad, leaving a sense of tension.
2. Questioning the Past · Where Brad Lies

When Michael is talking about his new dream of film production in the living room of his Rockford Hills home, Trevor suddenly bursts in. Trevor mocks Michael's peaceful life, calling him nothing more than a lifelong murderer. Michael suggests ending their partnership after one last heist, but Trevor refuses, claiming crime is his only way of life. During the conversation, Trevor's suspicions about Michael's past explode, and he deduces that the person buried in the grave in North Yankton is likely Brad Snider, not Michael.
To confirm the truth, a furious Trevor steals Michael's car and races toward Sandy Shores Airfield. Michael desperately heads to Los Santos International Airport to catch a commercial flight and pursue him to Ludendorff. During the trip, Michael calls Trevor to try and convince him there is no reason to go to North Yankton, but Trevor dismisses everything Michael says as a lie and hangs up. During the flight, Trevor receives a warning text from Ron that the Triads are looking for him.
Michael contacts Dave Norton to inform him that Trevor has figured out Brad's fate. Meanwhile, the Cheng family's Triad group mistakes Michael for Trevor's gay lover and prepares an ambush in Ludendorff to kidnap him. Trevor, arriving first at the Ludendorff cemetery, finds the snow-covered tombstone and begins digging up the grave without hesitation. Michael, who arrived late after renting a car and reflecting on the events of nine years ago, points his gun to stop him, but Trevor ignores him and smashes the coffin lid.
Inside the open coffin lay the decaying corpse of Brad, who had been known to be dead for nine years. It was the moment it became clear that the letters from prison were all fake and that Michael had betrayed them by colluding with Dave Norton. Michael makes excuses, saying it was an unavoidable choice to protect his young family, but Trevor is consumed by a sense of betrayal. As the two hold pistols at each other in a standoff, the Cheng Triad group raids the cemetery, and a shootout begins.
Startled by the Triad ambush, Trevor throws his gun at Michael and coldly leaves the scene across the snowy field. Michael, who only had one pistol from his commercial flight, engages in a desperate firefight with the Triad members, moving between tombstones. He manages to break through to the parking lot by picking up weapons dropped by enemies, but the rental car he arrived in won't start. Eventually, Michael is captured and kidnapped by the Triad group that has closed in on him.
While flying back to Sandy Shores, Trevor receives a call from Wei Cheng. Cheng claims that Trevor's business methods have hindered his expansion into Blaine County and threatens him, saying he has taken his lover, Michael, hostage. However, Trevor mocks him, saying he has no interest in the Triad's business or Michael's safety, and hangs up. Before landing at the airfield, Trevor receives an email from Lamar Davis stating that the stolen vehicles must be delivered to Devin Weston. The price of the betrayal hidden for nine years led to Michael's kidnapping and the complete fracture of the three men.
3. Pack Man · The Client Who Doesn't Pay

While Michael is kidnapped in North Yankton, Franklin and Trevor work with Lamar Davis to finish Devin Weston's request. After receiving a call from Lamar, Franklin meets him at Glass Heroes in Strawberry and then heads to Devin's garage located on Little Bighorn Avenue in South Los Santos. During the drive, Franklin doubts Lamar's claim that the car theft went smoothly. In the garage, the last vehicle Trevor stole was waiting along with a large transport trailer headed for Paleto Bay.
The group loads the stolen Monroe onto the trailer and departs for Paleto Bay. While the three sit side-by-side in the cramped truck passenger seat, Franklin complains about the tight space and pretends to be tired to get some sleep. Meanwhile, Trevor and Lamar chat about Michael's whereabouts. As the trailer passes near Hookies Bar in North Chumash, police cars begin to surround the trailer with sirens blaring.
Awakened, Franklin instructs Trevor to keep driving and then moves to the JB 700 vehicle loaded on the back of the trailer. This vehicle was modified with live ammunition weapons and special equipment. Franklin uses the JB 700's machine guns and spike strips to neutralize the pursuing police cars one by one, securing the trailer's route. After a fierce defensive battle, Franklin completely shakes off the police pursuit and calls Molly Schultz to inform her that the vehicle is arriving.
The group arrives safely at the destination Molly instructed, the Procopio Truck Stop. Molly, Devin Weston's representative, was waiting for them at the stop. Franklin demands payment, saying they have delivered all the promised vehicles. However, Molly makes vague excuses, saying Devin is currently investing his funds and will pay them only after the police heat dies down and the situation calms. Franklin is furious that he is being scammed without fair compensation, but Molly coldly leaves the scene.
Left behind, feeling empty without receiving payment, Franklin remembers Michael's disappearance and calls Lester. Lester informs him that Michael's phone was offline and that his last credit card transaction was for a plane ticket to North Yankton. However, he advises that Michael's phone signal has recently started to be picked up again and suggests meeting Trevor, who is likely to know Michael's whereabouts, at his aunt's house to find out the truth.
4. Fresh Meat · Rescuing the Hanging Michael

Franklin heads to his aunt's house in Strawberry, where he encounters his aunt Denise and her friends leaving while shouting feminist slogans. Trevor arrives shortly after, yells at them to shut up, and trips while trying to jump over the fence. Trevor threatens Franklin viciously when he laughs at this, and Franklin hurriedly apologizes to calm him down. When Franklin asks about Michael's whereabouts, Trevor reveals that Michael was kidnapped by the Cheng organization in North Yankton. Franklin insists they must rescue Michael, but Trevor flatly refuses, saying Michael is already a dead man to him, and leaves the scene after hitting a passing gang member.
Franklin immediately contacts Lester to relay what he heard from Trevor. Lester sends Franklin the 'Trackify' app, which can track Michael's phone signal. At the same time, Michael is being tortured while hanging upside down at the Raven Slaughterhouse in Cypress Flats. Michael explains to Wei Cheng that he and Trevor are not in a relationship and that Trevor is just mocking him. However, Cheng realizes Trevor will not come and orders his men to operate the machine to kill Michael.
Franklin, who located the slaughterhouse via the Trackify app, rushes to the scene. He takes down the Triad members guarding the slaughterhouse perimeter one by one and enters. Finding Michael hanging on a conveyor belt in danger of death, Franklin throws him a combat pistol to help him defend himself. Michael frees himself with the gun, drops to the floor, and joins Franklin.
The two engage in a fierce shootout with the Triad members pouring out from inside the slaughterhouse. As Franklin leads the way, clearing enemies in the hallway, he is ambushed by a Triad member hiding with a knife. Michael, who was following, immediately kills the enemy to save Franklin's life, and the two cover each other as they escape the slaughterhouse. They hijack a nearby vehicle and flee to Michael's Rockford Hills mansion.
In the car on the way back, Michael asks how Franklin found him, and Franklin replies that he had help from Lester and Trevor. When Franklin complains about not being paid by Devin Weston, Michael reassures him that they can pressure Devin once work on the movie 'Meltdown' is finished. When Franklin asks about the truth of the past, Michael confesses that he had no choice but to escape a life with lunatics who had nothing to lose to protect his young family. Franklin criticizes him for betraying his friends, but Michael retorts that he will understand once he has a family of his own to protect.
Arriving at the mansion, Franklin warns Michael to watch his back, saying Trevor won't let him be after returning alive, and then leaves. Michael saved his life thanks to Franklin's independent judgment and actions, but with the truth of Brad's death brought to the surface, his relationship with Trevor has reached an irreversible catastrophe.
