The interior of the colossal Leviathan was lined with pulsating organic walls. As Kerrigan stepped into its damp, dark nerve center, a familiar yet alien sensation washed over her skin. Though she had returned to her human form, the Zerg's biological network still keenly sensed and reacted to her presence.

The creep on the ceiling parted, and Izsha, revealing her upper torso, descended with a fluid motion. "My Queen, you have returned. But your physical form is not as it was. You bear the fragile shape of a Terran." Though Izsha's voice carried a hint of confusion, there was no sign of rejection toward her essence.

Kerrigan looked up at Izsha with cold eyes and spoke resolutely. "No matter how my appearance has changed, I am Sarah Kerrigan. And I am the Swarm." The psionic energy in her voice surged through the Leviathan's neural network, vividly demonstrating her unwavering dominance.

From the shadows crawled Abathur, his grotesque, multi-legged form emerging. "Genetic sequences severely damaged. Regression to Terran genome. Highly inefficient." Abathur circled Kerrigan, thoroughly analyzing her biological structure, muttering incessantly in a voice like a disgruntled machine.

"Spare me your complaints, Abathur. Your task is to evolve the Swarm and make it stronger." Kerrigan felt that the commands leaving her mouth were no different from those of the cruel Queen of old. Her thirst for vengeance against Mengsk was driving her to take control of these horrific creatures once more.

The moment the Leviathan's nerve bundles connected with Kerrigan's consciousness, the chaotic minds of hundreds of millions of Zerg flooded into her head. Instincts of hunger, rage, and destruction crashed over her reason like a massive tidal wave. She grit her teeth and unleashed a psionic wave, suppressing those feral wills.

The Overmind's massive will, which had once bound the Swarm as one, was no more. Only her own powerful rage and determination remained as the sole thread capable of reuniting the scattered broods. Kerrigan realized with bitter clarity that this horrific path she had chosen was a journey of ruin from which there was no turning back.

"We go to Char. We must reclaim the scattered broods there." At Kerrigan's command, the Leviathan twisted its massive body and began to cut through the void of space. The despair of losing Jim Raynor had now hardened into a cold fury, and she stood ready to reign as the Queen of Monsters for the sake of her revenge.

The Rebel of Char

The surface of Char, covered in red lava and ash-gray earth, was scarred even further by Dominion fortresses. As the Leviathan entered orbit, Kerrigan sensed the feral pulses of the Zerg boiling across the planet. Among them, a particularly powerful and defiant will stabbed sharply at her mind.

"Zagara... a broodmother seeks to make herself the master of the Swarm." Kerrigan drove a mental wedge toward that arrogant will that dared to reject her. The broodmother she had personally created in the past was now taking advantage of her master's absence, bringing the Zerg of Char under her own control and expanding her power.

Zagara mocked Kerrigan's human appearance and refused to submit. "You have grown weak! You are no longer our Queen!" Along with Zagara's mental cry, a pack of feral Zerglings out of control kicked up dust and charged fiercely toward Kerrigan, their sharp claws seeking to tear her apart.

Kerrigan's eyes flashed as she unleashed a powerful psionic storm. As the violet energy swept across the earth, the lunging Zerglings were flung into the air, reduced to ashes. Though she possessed a human body, the destructive power she radiated was identical to that of the Queen of Blades who had once terrorized the galaxy.

She crossed the boiling rivers of lava, advancing relentlessly toward Zagara's nest. Her suppressed rage toward Mengsk was converted into psionic energy, swirling around her. With a single gesture of her hand, the feral Zerg blocking her path had their flesh stripped from their bones, collapsing to the ground with horrific screams.

Finally confronting Zagara directly at the center of the massive hive cluster, Kerrigan halted. Zagara puffed up her massive frame and let out a sharp, threatening hiss, but Kerrigan did not take a single step back. A tense mental clash erupted between the two beings, causing the surrounding earth to vibrate faintly.

Kerrigan ruthlessly trampled through Zagara's mental barriers, forcing her will to submit. Overwhelmed by the agonizing pain and terror piercing her mind, Zagara ultimately trembled and prostrated herself flat on the ground. "I was wrong... You are the true Queen." With Zagara's submission, control of the brood was transferred.

As Zagara swore her obedience, countless Zerg organisms scattered across Char connected to Kerrigan's consciousness all at once. The massive Swarm began to breathe again, serving as her hands and feet. Kerrigan smiled with satisfaction, sensing that the time had come to crush the Dominion's fortress.

The Crumbling Steel Fortress

Having absorbed Zagara's brood, Kerrigan's next target was General Warfield's Dominion forces stationed on Char. The planetary fortress, standing firmly upon the barren earth where volcanic ash drifted, seemed to symbolize the Dominion's stubborn will to resist. Yet, before the tidal wave of the enraged Swarm, it was nothing more than a toy.

The moment Kerrigan's command was given, tens of thousands of Zerg poured through the twilight toward the fortress. Banelings spewed acid as they charged the defensive walls, while Roaches deflected bullets with their heavy carapace. Flames and shells spewing from the Dominion bunkers scattered Zerg blood and flesh in all directions.

The thunderous bombardment of Siege Tanks shook the earth, attempting to break the Zerg ranks. However, Kerrigan commanded the Swarm meticulously, overseeing the entire battlefield in her mind. Mutalisks blanketed the sky, diving into the tanks' blind spots and beginning to neutralize the Dominion's firepower.

The desperate screams of Terran soldiers echoing through the comms struck Kerrigan's ears. In that moment, memories of the days she roamed the battlefields alongside Jim Raynor flashed back, bringing a sharp ache to a corner of her heart. However, she conjured the face of Mengsk, who had killed Jim, and forcibly suppressed that meager guilt.

A swarm of Banelings detonated against the thick outer walls of the fortress, blasting a hole amid massive debris. Seizing the opening, Zerglings poured inside like madmen, tearing the Marines within to shreds. The battlefield, thick with the stench of blood and burning metal, transformed into a horrific hell where only slaughter existed.

Kerrigan walked directly into the heart of the battlefield, destroying the war machines that blocked her path. Red lightning arcing from her fingertips pierced the armor of a Thor, instantly melting the cockpit inside. Faced with the advance of this demon in human form, the Dominion soldiers lost their will to fight and scrambled backward.

With the defensive line completely collapsed, the Command Center at the heart of the fortress stood hideously exposed. Kerrigan ordered the Swarm to surround the command center and slowly approached the entrance, stepping over the rubble. Inside, the old, weary general who had resisted the Swarm's onslaught to the bitter end would be waiting for his final moment.

Tearing away the broken iron door and stepping inside the command center, a horrific sight unfolded before Kerrigan's eyes. Pinned beneath the debris of the collapsed ceiling, a bloodied General Warfield gasped heavily for breath. Around him lay the bodies of his fallen guards, a stark testament to the sheer desperation of their final defense.

The Paradox of Final Mercy

Warfield raised his pain-contorted face and glared at Kerrigan. "You are... a monster who has lost her humanity. How many innocent lives do you intend to take on the pretext of hunting down Mengsk!" His voice was filled with boiling rage and disgust, and his words stabbed deeply into Kerrigan's conscience.

Kerrigan maintained a rigid expression, silently enduring his sharp accusations. She, too, knew the weight of the horrific slaughter she had committed, but she could not stop now. "Mengsk started this. I am merely finishing it." Her reply was cold, but a faint tremor flickered in her eyes.

As his breath grew shallower, Warfield squeezed out his remaining strength to make a desperate plea. "Three shuttles carrying the wounded are escaping right now. They are no longer combat-effective... Please, let them go." The final wish of the old general, who had dedicated his life to the battlefield, was not for his own life, but for the survival of his soldiers.

In that moment, memories of retreating while supporting wounded comrades during her days with Raynor's Raiders flashed through Kerrigan's mind. Human compassion and the cruel instincts of the Zerg clashed violently within her. Destroying the shuttles was the logic of the Swarm, but she could not bring herself to give that order.

Warfield glared at her with the last of his strength, but Kerrigan's gaze remained steady. "I will let the shuttles go," Kerrigan whispered softly, reaching out. Her powerful psionic energy tore through the air, piercing Warfield's heart and ending his life. It was the moment the great general of the Dominion met his end directly at Kerrigan's hands amidst the cold ruins of Char.

Izsha's voice echoed from the Leviathan through the neural network. "My Queen, the Terran shuttles are preparing to leave orbit. If we allow the survivors to live, they will pose a threat to the Swarm in the future. Shall we pursue and destroy them?" Izsha's thorough and cold logic represented the perfect survival mechanism of the Zerg.

Kerrigan let out a deep sigh and closed her eyes. "No. Recall the Swarm. Let the shuttles go." Though Izsha and the broodmothers were confused by her command, they did not dare disobey the Queen's will. The Mutalisks that had blanketed the sky turned in unison, clearing the escape path for the shuttles.

Left alone inside the ruined command center, Kerrigan looked down at her blood-stained hands. Even though she had resolved to become a monster for revenge, this shallow humanity holding her back at the final moment tormented her. She felt a deep despair over her contradictory existence—neither fully monster nor fully human.

The Ordeal of Frozen Kaldir

Having conquered Char, the Swarm headed to the planet Kaldir to find another lost brood. It was a cryogenic ice hell where fierce blizzards and sub-zero storms raged eternally. Even while the Leviathan remained in orbit, the cold radiating from the planet's surface chilled her to the bone.

As soon as Kerrigan dispatched the first Zerg pack to the planet's surface, a horrific result manifested. When Kaldir's murderous ice storm swept in, the advancing Zerglings and Hydralisks froze solid in their tracks in an instant. The Swarm's organic carapaces could not withstand this extreme cold.

Abathur presented a solution through the neural network. "Kaldir native creature, Ursadon. Perfectly adapted to cryogenic environment. Absorbing their essence allows modification of Swarm genetic structure, granting cold resistance." To save the Swarm, Kerrigan personally led a small strike force to hunt the Ursadon.

Kaldir's blizzard raged as if to ruthlessly tear Kerrigan's human skin apart. Despite the flesh-searing pain, she shrouded herself in psionic energy and charged toward a massive pack of Ursadon. Dodging the beasts' wild claws and fangs, she ended their lives with her sharp blades.

The precious essence extracted from the hunted Ursadon carcasses was immediately transmitted to the Leviathan's Evolution Pit. With his characteristically swift and bizarre hand movements, Abathur dismantled the Ursadon genes and fused them into the Zerg spawning pools. The genetic manipulation was completed in an instant, and the Swarm stood ready to evolve for its new environment.

The Zerg newly born from the spawning pools were distinctly different from before. Their carapaces were covered in thick, dense insulating layers, and their bodies radiated intense heat. Even when the ice storm raged again, the evolved Zerg pack did not falter at all, advancing fiercely through the blizzard.

Kerrigan felt a thrill at the Swarm's incredible adaptability, which overcame even the most extreme environments. The Zerg way of survival—changing themselves to endure before any ordeal—was terrifying yet fascinating. She resolved that to overcome the massive wall that was Mengsk, she too had to become just as persistent and ruthless.

Advancing through the blizzard, the Swarm finally encountered the lost brood hidden on Kaldir. Hibernating deep within the frozen canyons, the massive brood awakened at Kerrigan's call and roared. Even the bitter cold of the ice planet was now nothing more than a trivial obstacle unable to halt the Swarm's expansion.

A Cruel Choice for Silence

While rallying the broods of Kaldir, the Swarm discovered a Protoss expeditionary base hidden on the planet. Led by Researcher Lasarra, they had been monitoring Zerg movements and collecting specimens. If the Protoss alerted Shakuras of this, the Golden Armada would surely descend and reduce the Swarm to ashes.

Kerrigan ordered a strict blockade to ensure not a single Protoss vessel could escape Kaldir. The evolved Zerg Swarm poured fiercely toward the Protoss base under the cover of the blizzard. Psionic blades clashed and the battle cries of Zealots echoed, but they were powerless to stop the endlessly surging tide of the Swarm.

As the base was overrun, Researcher Lasarra was captured alive and brought inside the Leviathan. Though her mind was shielded by powerful psionic barriers, she could not hide her terror-filled trembling before Kerrigan. Even while bound, Lasarra held her head high and cast a look of utter contempt at Kerrigan.

"You are a horrific plague upon this universe, Kerrigan. In your wake, only destruction and death remain." Lasarra's sharp telepathy echoed coldly in Kerrigan's mind. She mocked the shallow humanity Kerrigan still possessed, cursing her endlessly, predicting she would ultimately degenerate into an incarnation of pure evil.

Ignoring Lasarra's accusations, Kerrigan focused solely on her tactical objective. A Protoss shuttle had already launched into orbit, attempting to establish communication with Shakuras. There was too little time to shoot down the vessel using brute force. She resolved to choose the most cruel and certain method.

Kerrigan made the horrific decision to forcibly implant a parasitic larva into Lasarra's body. Lasarra screamed as she felt the alien lifeform squirming inside her. "You have put a monster inside me!" She writhed in the flesh-piercing pain and the despair of becoming the tool that would bring ruin to her own people, but Kerrigan merely watched the process with cold eyes. The larva settled deep within Lasarra's body, feeding on her life force and preparing to grow explosively.

"Now, I shall return you to your ship. Take a gift to your people." Kerrigan released Lasarra from her bonds and forcibly warp-transferred her to the vessel. Lasarra, despairing at the fact that she was returning to her ship harboring a horrific seed that would destroy her kind, tried to warn them, but it was already too late.

Not long after arriving on the ship, a massive parasite burst through Lasarra's body. The parasite instantly wreaked havoc inside the vessel, slaughtering the Protoss crew and destroying the communication facilities. The warning message to Shakuras was buried forever in the darkness of deep space.

Standing in the Leviathan's nerve center, Kerrigan silently watched the debris of the Protoss ship breaking apart in orbit. Rather than relief at achieving her goal, a wave of self-loathing for the horrific deed she had committed washed over her first. A chill colder than Kaldir's biting blizzard ran down her spine.

This cruelty of using and discarding the innocent as tools was no different from the methods of the Queen of Blades in the past. Burying her face in her hands, she recalled how much Jim Raynor had sacrificed to save her. Just imagining how despondent he would be if he saw her like this choked her up.

But Jim was dead. Mengsk's endless greed and lust for power had taken him away forever. Every time she recalled that fact, an uncontrollable, fierce hatred flared up deep within her chest. To complete her revenge, she was willing to stain her hands with blood and become the most horrific monster in the universe.

Izsha approached cautiously, pointing out Kerrigan's unstable brainwaves. "My Queen, I sense contradictory pulses in your mind. Anger and guilt are clashing, reducing the efficiency of the Swarm." The complex human emotions, which could never be understood through Zerg logic, appeared to Izsha as mere defects.

"It does not matter. This anger is the force that drives me." Kerrigan clenched her fists, unleashing an explosive burst of psionic aura. Forcibly suppressing the encroaching guilt, she focused her mind on a single purpose: tearing Mengsk apart. Her wavering gaze once again shone cold and sharp.

"Mengsk, you have made me a monster once again. Every sin I bear will ultimately become the noose that strangles you." It was a vow to herself, and a bloody declaration of war against Mengsk. The remnants of her humanity had now degenerated into tools of vengeance.

As the Queen's resolute rage flowed through the Leviathan's neural network, hundreds of millions of Zerg organisms responded in unison with horrific roars. Sharing the Queen's sorrow and hatred completely, the Swarm sharpened its claws for the massive war to come. Kerrigan firmly resolved never to look back again.

Even within the vortex of contradictory emotions, her goal converged clearly into a single point: to make the Swarm stronger, strike the heart of the Dominion, and end Mengsk's life. She believed that this was the only fitting mourning for the lost Jim, and the sole compensation for the horrific destiny she bore.

Toward the Primal Call

Through Char and Kaldir, the Swarm was reclaiming its former glory. The interior of the Leviathan was packed to the brim with newly joined broods and evolved organisms. While she had assembled a force sufficient to stand against Mengsk's Dominion, Kerrigan still felt an unquenchable, primal thirst.

Abathur submitted a new report through the neural network. "Current Swarm genetic structure has reached optimal limit under Queen's control. However, further rapid evolution is impossible. Strong external catalyst required." Abathur's analysis accurately pinpointed the limitation Kerrigan had been sensing deep down.

In that moment, an ancient and primal call from the far reaches of the cosmos knocked on Kerrigan's mind. It was a faint whisper echoing from the birthplace of the Zerg, where primal power breathed—a place even the Overmind had forgotten. Kerrigan instinctively knew that this call was the key to completing her transformation into the true Queen of Blades.

In her current incomplete state—half human, half Zerg—she could not fully withstand Mengsk's massive armies and the coming unknown threats. She realized the time had come to completely erase the last remaining traces of humanity from her body. She had to walk into a deeper, more horrific darkness of her own accord.

"Zerus... We go to the homeworld where the Zerg were first born." At Kerrigan's command, the Leviathan's nerve center surged. The star map glowed red as coordinates were set for a forgotten planet on the fringes of the Koprulu Sector. It was the origin of the Swarm, where the purest and most violent essence lay dormant.

Izsha warned her with caution. "My Queen, Zerus is a primal place beyond the control of the Overmind. The creatures there do not follow the rules of the Swarm; they are highly dangerous and unpredictable." Yet, even Izsha's concerned advice could not stop Kerrigan, who had already made up her mind.

Kerrigan gazed into the endless abyss of space stretching beyond the Leviathan's translucent membrane. She did not know what she would face on Zerus or what price she would have to pay, but she felt no fear. She was ready to willingly throw her entire being into the primal wildness to attain ultimate power.

The colossal organic vessel, the Leviathan, turned its massive frame and glided toward the unknown course. Armed with cold vengeance, the Queen and the Swarm following her had now embarked on their final journey to shed their past shells and embrace a new evolution. A massive storm that would alter the fate of the universe was drawing near to Zerus.
