Key information
As of October 11, the action title Sifu, developed by Sloclap, is currently available at a 75% discount. The game, which typically retails for 4180 yen, can now be purchased for 1045 yen on Steam, the Nintendo Store, and the PlayStation Store.
Sifu is a 3D belt-scrolling action game centered on a protagonist seeking revenge against those who killed their family. The narrative features a magical talisman that allows the character to resurrect immediately upon defeat.
The game introduces a unique aging mechanic where each resurrection causes the protagonist to grow older. While aging enhances attack power, it simultaneously reduces maximum health. Players must manage this trade-off carefully, as becoming too old prevents further resurrections, resulting in a game over.
Combat emphasizes tactical positioning and environmental awareness, particularly during encounters with multiple enemies. Players are encouraged to utilize dodges and parries, as well as incorporate nearby objects as weapons to survive intense close-quarters combat. Additionally, a mobile version of the game is scheduled for release on October 12, 2026.
