Visionary Realms has released a new series of insights regarding the development of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, following a recent Q&A session with the community. The team continues to utilize original design documents authored by Brad McQuaid in 2014 and 2015 as a guiding foundation for the project.

The crafting system is currently in a largely designed state, though it requires further refinement regarding its depth and rewards. Developers are moving away from a single-person oversight model, opting instead for a first and second chair arrangement to manage the system.

Regarding monetization, the studio is evaluating long-term revenue strategies. For the current Early Access phase, the game maintains a purchase-once-and-play model. Additionally, the team clarified their stance on AI, noting that while they may use it to accelerate repetitive tasks, CEO Chris Rowan explicitly stated they are not interested in art generated by AI.

The developers confirmed there are no plans to reduce the scope of the sandbox world. While they are currently working on two zones simultaneously, they acknowledged that certain areas less central to the core gameplay or story might be deferred until after the official launch.
