Developer FORCES announced that the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Hide-and-Seek Horror will introduce a second demon, Kuchisake, to its demo version on October 20.
The game pits four children against one demon in three-minute matches. Children must evade capture, while the demon aims to catch all players. Children can utilize shadow hiding, communicate via walkie-talkies, and mark demon locations, though nearby demons can overhear voice chat. As matches progress, increasing miasma spawns more ghosts, shifting gameplay from stealth to high-stakes pursuit.
The new Kuchisake demon features a special ability called Big Headbutt, which allows it to charge forward and capture all children in its path. This joins the existing Kakure-Oni, which utilizes ceilings to ambush players. Players must adapt their escape strategies based on the specific demon chosen by their opponent.
Hide-and-Seek Horror will participate in the Steam Next Fest starting October 20. The current demo supports up to five players on an abandoned school map, with CPU participants filling any empty slots.
