On the 12th, XD unveiled a preview for the upcoming SS14 Tartarus season of its hack-and-slash action title, Torchlight: Infinite.
The new season introduces a prison management theme where players act as wardens. Users must capture escaped prisoners, manage cells, and oversee inmate development. The experience culminates in suppressing large-scale riots, with strategic outcomes determined by the player's choices regarding prisoner selection and event management.
A new hero trait, Youga's The Last Being, arrives with the update. This character utilizes a Clockwork Core for automated attacks and temporal abilities, allowing players to hunt alternate versions of themselves to absorb power. Additionally, the classic hero Priest Tia is receiving a rework focused on the Blessing system to expand build variety.
The update also introduces new tower sequences, auxiliary skills, and legendary equipment. XD plans to improve existing progression systems and convenience features, while providing enhanced support to help new and returning players quickly engage with seasonal content and character builds.
