At Brasil Game Show 2026, Venn Studios introduced Rogue Reigns, a deck-building roguelike scheduled for release on PC on November 3. Developed by a São Paulo-based team, the title will feature Japanese subtitles and audio.
Inspired by Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon, the game tasks players with managing a party of three to four characters. Each character utilizes a unique deck, and players must coordinate abilities to execute finishers. The game features a multi-ending narrative where player choices regarding which characters to prioritize or sacrifice influence the final outcome.
The game runs on Wildcard, a proprietary engine developed by the studio using JavaScript. It is designed to be lightweight, requiring only 500MB of storage and a GPU equivalent to a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. All character and card animations are hand-drawn.
The project is managed by a team of approximately five developers. While the studio is based in São Paulo, all staff work remotely across Brazil. The version showcased at the event was a combat-focused demo, which Maycol Marcondes Vargas noted does not reflect the numerous improvements made in the current build.
