Key information

Microsoft has officially introduced the Xbox Nano Controller, a miniature gamepad marketed as the company's smallest model to date. The device is priced at $49.99 or £44.99 and is scheduled for a market release on November 4 across 36 regions, including the US, UK, Japan, and parts of Europe.

Measuring slightly over five inches in length and weighing 3.5 ounces, the controller retains 18 standard inputs alongside a dedicated programmable Action Button for capturing gameplay. It supports connectivity via Bluetooth and Xbox Wireless, functioning across Windows PCs, iOS, Android, select smart TVs, and Xbox consoles.

While the controller features a rechargeable battery, Microsoft has not disclosed specific battery life estimates, color variants, or the inclusion of rumble and impulse triggers. The $49.99 price point positions the Nano as more expensive than competitors like the $29.99 CRKD Atom+ or the $34.99 8BitDo Lite 2.

The launch coincides with new monthly time restrictions for Xbox Cloud Gaming starting in November, which limit Ultimate subscribers to 15 hours, Premium to 10, and Essential to 5. Additionally, the company plans to include the Nano Controller in holiday bundles alongside specific Meta Quest headsets and Samsung TVs.
