Microsoft has unveiled the initial wave of titles joining Xbox Game Pass this month. The selection is headlined by the violent Xbox exclusive Gears of War: E-Day, alongside other notable additions like Battlefield 6 and Valor Mortis.

The update introduces diverse gameplay experiences, including the ambitious Minecraft Dungeons 2 and the time-focused adventure Echo Weaver. Players can also explore the Napoleonic-era soulslike Valor Mortis or embark on a redemption-themed road trip in Forever Ago.

GameSpot notes that while Minecraft Dungeons 2 exhibits some flaws, it represents a significant increase in ambition compared to the original title. The service also adds the metroidvania-inspired Deep Dish Dungeon and the co-op roguelike Chained Beasts.

Additional releases arriving by October 15 include Bluey's Happy Snaps and the cosmic city-builder Beyond These Stars. Simultaneously, titles such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Evil West are scheduled to depart the service on October 15.
