Actor Vincent D’Onofrio recently entered a social media discussion to defend his former Daredevil co-star, Deborah Ann Woll, who portrays Laufey in the upcoming God of War franchise title. The online controversy began when a user on X/Twitter complained that the special armor sets in the upcoming game cover too much skin and lack female sensuality.
D’Onofrio responded directly to the critic, stating that he completely disagreed and praising Woll as beautiful, extremely talented, intelligent, and a good friend. He also noted that he is a fan of God of War and is excited to play the new game with his son when it launches in February.
Woll has remained unaffected by the negative reactions from internet trolls, noting during a conversation with a fan at the Florida Supercon in July that she does not use social media and feels indifferent to the backlash because she is confident the game is fantastic.
God of War: Laufey is scheduled to be released on February 16, 2027, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
