Key information
Developer Bones Brothers and publisher B-Team have released a free demo for Fallbearers, a dark comedy game centered on the chaotic task of transporting coffins. Players take on the roles of two unreliable Victorian-era funeral directors tasked with delivering the deceased to their final resting place.
The core gameplay involves managing the front and back of a coffin, requiring players to coordinate acceleration, jumping, and height adjustments. While the game supports online cooperative play, those feeling particularly skilled can attempt to control both undertakers simultaneously in single-player mode.
Chaos stems from the ragdoll physics system, where the body inside the coffin reacts unpredictably to movement and collisions. Players must carefully balance the casket to prevent the deceased from sliding out or being ejected during impacts, which forces a restart if the mission fails.
Beyond standard paths, the game features diverse environments including turbulent seas and snowy mountains. Fallbearers is currently available for free trial on Steam, with support for online co-op, split-screen, and Remote Play Together.
