Walmart has introduced a significant price reduction for the Asus ROG Strix G16 gaming laptop, offering a $600 discount that brings the current retail price down to $1,399.
The device features an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU containing 8GB of VRAM. It includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB Gen 4 SSD for storage, alongside Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
The laptop sports a 16-inch FHD+ display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 3ms response time. Tom’s Hardware reviewers previously praised the display for being both colorful and fast.
While the reviewer noted that this specific version lacks the X3D cache found in higher-end variants, they expect the hardware to avoid performance bottlenecks. The machine is positioned as a suitable option for students or casual mobile gaming.
