Key information
Following the recent release of Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, fans have been wondering if Koei Tecmo and Omega Force will remaster other titles in the legendary franchise. According to 4Gamer, franchise producer Tomohiko Sho stated that whether further remasters happen depends on the current release's performance.
However, Sho personally expressed a preference against developing remasters. Now in his fifties, he considers how many games he can create before retirement and would rather focus on making new games or sequels within the franchise.
Sho remarked that working on a remaster feels almost like completely remaking a game, noting his personal reluctance to recreate work he has already made. While he acknowledged that it is not impossible for the team to remaster titles not currently available on Steam, he stated that given the opportunity, he would gladly develop a new game.
