Key information

Pimax introduced the Crystal Pro wireless PC virtual reality headset featuring Native Foveated Streaming during its Frontier: Change To Stay The Same presentation. Alongside the headset, the company revealed Ringless VR Controllers, the Spation mini-PC, and a renewed corporate branding centered on Stratosphere Blue.

The hardware relies on built-in Wi-Fi streaming accompanied by a dedicated Wi-Fi 6E adapter, alongside an optional 60G AirLink kit utilizing eye tracking to deliver unencoded GPU frames straight to the panels inside the user focus zone. This 60 GHz link employs two Room Antennas in a 2x2 MIMO layout, achieving sub-2 ms added latency and up to 6 Gbps combined throughput.

Visuals are driven by QLED panels paired with aspheric glass optics, delivering a 110-degree field of view, refresh rates reaching 120 Hz, and a resolution of 2880 by 2880 pixels per eye. Tracking mechanisms incorporate eye tracking together with SLAM 2.0 inside-out technology, while power is supplied via a separate 16,000mAh external battery pack rather than an internal cell.

Pricing is set at $1,399 for the standalone unit or $1,899 when packaged with the AirLink kit, whereas the AirLink hardware alone costs $599. Reservations are open now for $1 through the official website, while specific release dates and pricing for the controller and mini-PC hardware remain to be announced.
