Key information
Hewlett Packard Enterprise introduced the first four models of its HPE ProLiant Gen13 Server line, utilizing 6th Generation AMD EPYC Server processors. The newly revealed systems are designed to enhance compute, memory, and I/O capacities to assist businesses with agentic AI and inference, analytics, virtualization, and simulation workloads.
The hardware rollout features several distinct configurations, including the high-density HPE ProLiant DL585a Gen13 Server supporting up to eight double-wide PCIe GPUs and PCIe Gen 6 connectivity. Additionally, the compact 1U HPE ProLiant DL525 Gen13 system runs on a single processor with up to 256 cores.
For compute-intensive environments, HPE introduced the OCP-compliant HPE ProLiant XD245 and HPE ProLiant XD285 Servers. Security features include automatic self-encrypting drive capabilities, multi-person authorization, and expanded post-quantum cryptography readiness.
Regarding availability, the HPE ProLiant DL525 Gen13 server is scheduled for release later in 2026. The DL585a Gen13, XD245, and XD285 servers will follow in early 2027 and 2027 respectively.
