Brook Gaming has officially launched the Brook StarRay Wireless Controller, which merges native PlayStation 5 support with an asymmetrical thumbstick layout inspired by Xbox controllers. Buyers can purchase the new device immediately via the official Brook online shop and the Brook Amazon Store.
The controller incorporates durable Hall Effect analog sticks to minimize stick drift risks alongside mechanical buttons engineered to provide up to 30% faster input response times. Additionally, PC users can utilize a wired connection to achieve a polling rate reaching up to 1000 Hz.
Versatility is further enhanced by dual-mode triggers capable of switching between a 15 mm long-stroke option suited for racing titles and a 0.3 mm quick trigger designed for action games and first-person shooters. It also features two top auxiliary buttons, dual vibration motors, two rear buttons, RGB lighting, anti-slip grips, and a manufacturer suggested retail price of US$74.99 according to an editor note.
Compatibility extends across multiple platforms including the PS5, Steam on PC, iOS, and Android devices through Bluetooth or wired USB-C connections. Brook Gaming includes app support for macros, turbo, button remapping, dead-zone and joystick sensitivity adjustments, and firmware updates.
