Key information
ASUS Republic of Gamers has officially released the ROG Rapture GT-BN98, a quad-band WiFi 8 gaming router designed for high-reliability network environments. The device aims to provide stable and efficient connectivity for demanding tasks like gaming, streaming, and smart home management.
The router supports up to 25,000 Mbps of bandwidth and utilizes WiFi 8 technology to improve performance consistency. Key technical enhancements include new MCS rates, UEQM, and NPCA, which collectively reduce speed fluctuations and improve signal stability across long-range or multi-device setups.
Advanced management features include Adaptive Quality of Experience, which dynamically allocates bandwidth in real-time, and WiFi Insight, an ASUS-exclusive tool for visualizing and mitigating network interference. Additionally, the integrated GTNet service optimizes traffic routing to game servers to prioritize lower latency.
For wired connectivity, the unit features two 10G ports and four 2.5G ports. Security is managed through the AiProtection suite, which provides always-on defenses, including malicious site filtering and ad blocking, to protect all connected devices.
