Key information
Akasa has introduced the Euler MX2, a premium aluminium fanless chassis designed for Mini-ITX motherboards supporting specific Intel processors. According to the company, the passive aluminium enclosure cools the CPU using external fins while eliminating mechanical fans to reduce noise and failure points.
The enclosure accommodates Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115X socket chips with a thermal design power of up to 35 W. It features a patented spring-loaded mounting mechanism and an integrated 220 W DC-to-DC power converter that operates via a 12 V DC input through a 4-pin DIN connector, alongside two internal 2.5-inch SATA drive bays.
The chassis provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the front, plus serial port cutouts, a Kensington lock slot, and antenna openings on the rear panel. Furthermore, VESA mounting is supported to enable direct attachment to compatible displays or mounting arms.
Pricing for the Euler MX2 begins at £195.00 or €198.00, with regional variations possible depending on the reseller. The hardware is currently orderable across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia for unattended commercial deployments.
