Key information

The creator of the prominent Total War: Warhammer 3 total overhaul project SFO Grimhammer 3 deliberately corrupted the project. This action aimed to protest and disrupt unauthorized reuploads generated through artificial intelligence tools on the Steam Workshop.

According to the creator Venris, unauthorized individuals were utilizing artificial intelligence to make the project compatible with version 9.0 of Total War: Warhammer 3 and reuploading it as their own creation with artificial imagery.

Venris explained via Patreon that the project represents nearly ten years of dedication, stating that permission is denied for anyone to steal the work, particularly for artificial intelligence purposes. The creator further noted that the project will remain free without any paywall.

Following the attention brought by the temporary sabotage, Venris restored a working version for game version 8.1.1 on Steam. The creator stated that while the action will not stop theft entirely, it successfully highlighted the ongoing flood of artificial intelligence modifications on the platform.
