Key information

NVIDIA has launched an updated DLSS Frame Generation algorithm featuring a new performance mode called Preset C. This update, currently rolling out via the latest NVIDIA App beta, aims to improve efficiency and speed for users.

The company reports that Preset C can increase frame generation speeds by up to 35% on the GeForce RTX 5060. NVIDIA claims these gains are achieved with minimal impact on overall image quality.

This performance boost is facilitated by replacing the previous optical flow model with a lighter, faster AI algorithm. The change applies to DLSS Frame Generation, Multi-Frame Generation, and Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation across GeForce RTX 40-Series, 50-Series, and RTX Spark hardware.

To access the feature, users must opt into experimental features within the NVIDIA App beta settings. Once enabled, Preset C can be selected under the DLSS Override Model Presets menu within the Graphics section for supported titles or global settings.
