Key information
Walmart has introduced a 38% reduction on the MSI Codex Z2C prebuilt system, dropping its price to $999 and offering a $600 discount. The machine is built for 1080p gaming and can also handle 1440p gaming if image quality is managed reasonably.
The rig features an octa-core Ryzen 7 8700F processor reaching up to 5 GHz, alongside a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB graphics card. This hardware combination runs modern titles smoothly.
For memory and storage, the system includes 16GB of DDR5 memory structured as two 8GB sticks, alongside a 1TB PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive. MSI incorporated the Pro B840-VC WiFi motherboard with an AM5 socket.
The motherboard provides future upgrade paths through four slots for DDR5 memory and two M.2 slots supporting PCIe 4.0 x4. Because standard components are used, buyers retain upgrade flexibility.
Shoppers have purchased over 500 units since the previous day, causing inventory to deplete rapidly. At the $999 price point, it stands out for buyers seeking a sub-$1,000 prebuilt gaming setup.
