Key information

On October 13, publisher HypeTrain Digital announced Modulink, a third-person action roguelite developed by brainglyph. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has lost its understanding of ancient technology, players control a young researcher named Tinker. Accompanied by a floating digital journal named Repo, Tinker embarks on a journey to reconnect a fractured society.

The gameplay features procedurally generated paths that include combat arenas, athletic challenges, and circuit puzzle rooms. A core mechanic involves collecting modules and attaching them to a circuit board on the protagonist's back. These modules unlock new abilities and attacks, which are recorded by Repo to build knowledge for future expeditions.

Strategic depth is provided by the module system, where changing the order and placement of components can trigger unexpected effects. These modules are governed by hidden rules related to their manufacturer and configuration. Beyond combat, players utilize these modules to solve puzzles, repair machinery, open doors, and assist the various people they encounter during their travels.

While the game has been officially revealed, a specific release date has not yet been determined. Additionally, the title does not currently support the Japanese language.
