Key information
Microsoft recently announced that hundreds of AAA and indie titles will be playable on NVIDIA RTX Spark PCs starting on day one. Pavan Davuluri, head of Windows and Devices, confirmed this initiative during a company event on October 7.
Despite the broad support, Call of Duty will not be available at launch. Microsoft stated that support for the franchise is expected to arrive in 2027, though the company did not specify which title would be included or provide a reason for the delay.
Technical hurdles likely stem from the Arm-based architecture of RTX Spark, which requires kernel-level anti-cheat drivers to be rebuilt. Activision's Ricochet anti-cheat currently functions only on x86 systems, potentially causing the gap for Call of Duty.
The Surface Laptop Ultra, which features RTX Spark, is priced starting at $2,599 and begins shipping on October 16. While Gears of War: E-Day was demonstrated at 60 FPS, specific resolution and upscaling details remain undisclosed.
