Several SteelSeries Apex Pro gaming keyboards are currently available at discounted prices. The Apex Pro Mini (Gen 2) Wireless sees the largest reduction, dropping 50% from $239.99 to $119.99. Additionally, the Apex Pro Mini (Gen 3) Wired is discounted by 29% to $156.74, while the Apex Pro TKL (Gen 3) Wired is reduced by 17% to $199.99.
These keyboards utilize OmniPoint 3 Analog Magnetic Switches, which are Hall effect switches allowing users to adjust actuation between 0.1 and 4.0 mm with a 45-gram bottom-out force. The Gen 3 models introduce features like Rapid Trigger, which resets keys upon release to reduce latency, Rapid Tap for faster inputs, and Protection Mode to minimize accidental presses.
Tom’s Hardware reviewers awarded the Apex Pro Mini their best mini gaming keyboard title. The Apex Pro TKL, which includes a volume roller, media keys, and an OLED display, received a four out of five score. While reviewers noted these are premium, expensive devices, the current discounts may make them more accessible.
All models feature aluminum frames, per-key RGB lighting, and ergonomic legs. The TKL version offers additional productivity keys and an OLED screen for on-the-fly adjustments. Users can further customize these peripherals using the SteelSeries Engine software.
