Key information
Sony has officially announced that God of War Laufey is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027. Pre-orders for both the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions will open on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 local time.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game alongside the Dark Alchemy armor set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, and Dark Alchemy Catalyst. Additional content features an in-game resource pack, a digital mini-artbook, and the official soundtrack. Players who pre-order either version ahead of launch will receive the Last Wish armor set, the Phranque Golden Leaves appearance, and a separate resource pack.
This upcoming title represents a major shift as the first main series installment not centered on Kratos. Instead, players will control Faye, also known as Laufey the Just, who is Kratos' Norse wife and Atreus' mother. The narrative explores her journey through the afterlife realm known as Everywhen. Sony Santa Monica has confirmed a disc release for the game, though details regarding physical collector's editions remain unannounced.
