Key information
Epic’s Fortnitemares announcement outlines Halloween content across Battle Royale, Horde Rush and Reload. Battle Royale features Nightmare Neighborhood and Freddy Krueger alongside event weapons and cursed Overrides. The publisher also lists character cosmetics scheduled throughout October.
Horde Rush returns as a limited-time mode, while an updated Nitemare Island arrives in Reload from 8 October. These are mode-specific details: a guide for one playlist should not be treated as instructions for all of them.
Before inviting friends, complete the update and confirm the playlist currently offered in the game. Check Epic’s service-status page if login or matchmaking fails. Cosmetic Shop items have their own purchase conditions, so their appearance in the event announcement does not make them free rewards.
