Key information

BiWin has announced the CL 100 Mini NVMe SSD, measuring only 15 x 17 mm and offering storage expansion for portable gaming consoles like select OneXPlayer systems and the GPD Win5 without requiring users to open the console.

The tiny drive utilizes a PCIe 4.0 interface, a standard NVMe 1.4 specification, and a Silicon Motion SM2268XT2 controller, matching the controller found in certain standard M.2 2280 drives from Crucial and Kingston.

Connected to a single slab of Samsung V8 TLC NAND, the drive delivers sequential reads up to 3700 MB/s and writes up to 3400 MB/s. When used externally with BiWin's mini-SSD reader via USB-C, speeds reach around 3000 MB/s.

Priced at 139.99€ for 512 GB and 259.99€ for 1 TB on Amazon, the smaller models align with M.2 2230 prices, while a 2 TB option is currently sold by third-party Amazon UK sellers for 699.99€.
