8BitDo has officially unveiled the Ultimate 3C+ wireless controller, positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative to the company's special edition Ultimate 3 series. The device is currently available for pre-order at $39.99, with a general retail release scheduled for October 30.
The controller utilizes an Xbox-style layout featuring offset thumb sticks and standard ABXY buttons. It supports connectivity via Bluetooth 5.4 LE, USB-C, and a 2.4 GHz wireless mode that provides 1 kHz polling to minimize input latency. Compatibility extends to both Windows and Android platforms.
Hardware highlights include TMR joysticks with customizable tension, Hall effect triggers offering linear and non-linear modes, and lockable back paddles. The unit also incorporates additional L/R4 shoulder buttons and separate vibration motors for the triggers. A 500 mAh battery provides up to 20 hours of usage on 2.4 GHz or 32 hours via Bluetooth.
Available in Stealth Black, Avocado Green, and Frost White, the 3C+ omits certain premium features found in the Ultimate 3, such as the charging dock, 3.5 mm audio jack, and swappable face buttons or d-pad components.
