On the final day of the holiday, October 5, weather across the country remains mostly cloudy. Rain is expected from dawn through the morning in central regions, the Jeolla area, northwestern inland Gyeongbuk, western inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island.
The morning will bring potential thunderstorms and gusts to affected areas. Residents in the central west coast, northern inland Gyeonggi, and northern inland Gangwon should prepare for possible hail, which may impact facilities and crops.
Temperatures will range from 11 to 17 degrees Celsius in the morning and 19 to 25 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. However, cold air arriving from the north in the afternoon, combined with strong winds, will cause a sharp drop in temperatures and make the weather feel chilly.
Strong winds reaching speeds of 55 km/h, and up to 70 km/h in mountainous areas, are expected nationwide. Authorities advise caution regarding facility management and traffic safety due to potential fog in inland Gyeongbuk.
