Nexon Games has officially confirmed the casting of the lead actor for its upcoming action title, Wuchi: The Wayfarer. The game features the legendary Taoist Jeon Woo-chi as the protagonist, navigating a fictional Joseon Dynasty setting.
Development progress includes 4D scanning sessions conducted this past August at the 3Lateral studio in Los Angeles. This facility, part of Epic Games' digital human infrastructure, specializes in creating characters based on MetaHuman technology.
While the studio shared a photograph showing the actor from behind during the scanning process, the individual's identity remains undisclosed. Nexon Games stated that further details regarding the actor will be announced at a later date.
Wuchi: The Wayfarer is currently in development as a single-player action-adventure game for PC and console platforms. Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the project aims to deliver a unique interpretation of Korean traditional folklore and supernatural combat.
