Publisher C4Cat Entertainment Limited announced on October 4 that its semi-turn-based tactical RPG, 《Zold:out ~ 鍛造屋的物語》, will officially shut down its servers and terminate operations on November 5, 2026. Initially launched in October 2021, the title's total operational lifespan will reach approximately 5 years and 1 month.
The strategy RPG combines character progression and deck-building elements, revolving around two protagonists who meet in a remote weapons shop and embark on a fantasy journey. Players assign various characters to battle alongside store clerks bound by strong ties, working to unravel mysteries and spread the weapon shop's reputation across the continent.
According to the official announcement, the decision stems from adjustments to development and management strategies. The game will disable top-up and payment functions on October 5, 2026, leading up to the final server closure on November 5, 2026. The team expressed gratitude to all players for their long-standing support and affection for the characters and content.
