Silent Hill: Townfall has received a new update designed to lower the game's difficulty. This change comes in direct response to feedback from players who expressed frustration regarding specific enemy encounters since the title's initial release.
Developer Screen Burn specifically addressed the enemy known as The Weight. Previously capable of killing players instantly, this enemy now deals high damage instead of an immediate death. Furthermore, the developer reduced the creature's hunting aggression and adjusted its pathfinding so it remains stationary for longer periods, granting players more room to maneuver.
Stealth segments have also been made more accessible. Enemies are now less sensitive to noise generated by gunfire, running, or entering hiding spots. Additionally, general combat encounters have been softened; enemies are less aggressive, counter-attack less frequently, and no longer grab players who are blocking with a physical weapon.
Players now have an increased window of time to react and escape if they are grabbed during gameplay. These comprehensive adjustments aim to refine the experience based on the community's reported difficulties.
