The PokéXciting! in Taipei event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Pokémon this weekend, running from October 10 to 11. The festivities feature parades, dance performances, and stage shows at the Xinyi District, including the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place.
Due to high demand, stage activities require prior lottery selection, which has already concluded. Fans without tickets can view live broadcasts at the Taipei City Hall Southeast Gate Plaza, Xinyi Plaza, and Xinyi Ankang Park. Additionally, random Pokémon will appear at these locations for photo opportunities throughout the day.
Commemorative merchandise, including a special pink afro Pikachu mascot charm, will be available starting October 10 at the Pokémon Center TAIPEI and a pop-up store in the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A11 basement.
Pokémon GO players can participate in a stamp rally by visiting five special PokéStops to earn a commemorative Pikachu. Additional in-game bonuses include increased spawn rates for costumed Pokémon, special raid battles, and various gameplay perks like doubled experience and reduced trade costs.
