German energy provider SWK Energie has unveiled a targeted marketing campaign and a novel strategy designed specifically to appeal to personal computer and console video game enthusiasts within the country.

The newly introduced electricity tariff, named meinGAMING, aims to support households characterized by high power usage, such as gamers running powerful hardware or spending extensive hours playing titles. The plan specifically targets residences where yearly electricity consumption exceeds 2,500 kWh, offering more affordable pricing compared to rival providers.

SWK Energie emphasizes that this tariff suits intensive usage scenarios driven by gaming, streaming, or running numerous devices simultaneously. Conversely, consumers failing to meet the yearly threshold should avoid the plan to prevent financial waste.

This offering represents another instance of non-gaming enterprises attempting to capitalize on the entertainment sector, though the practical intent remains lowering yearly power expenses for heavy users.
