Independent developer Paperhead te4m and publisher HypeTrain Digital have officially released the first-person shooter Paperhead on Steam. The game invites players into a stylized cardboard world that hides a dark and unsettling secret.
The title blends fast-paced shooting mechanics with horror-themed adventure elements. Players navigate a derelict research facility to uncover the disturbing truth behind why the cardboard inhabitants are capable of bleeding.
Combat offers diverse tactical options, including launching enemies into the air, kicking explosive barrels, or utilizing shotgun blasts. Players can also wield pencils as versatile tools to sketch bombs or create doors, effectively altering the environment during intense encounters.
Following the free release of the prologue Paperhead EP.0 in mid-November 2024, the team spent over two years developing the full version. With the launch of the complete game, the prologue has been removed from the Steam storefront.
