Nintendo is preparing to release a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing quality of life updates, a dramatic graphical overhaul, and two major external expansions.

The title introduces real-world physical ocarinas that interact directly with the game, mirroring the notes played by users. Series producer Eiji Aonuma demonstrated this by playing Epona's song, while alternative methods allow players to use dedicated controller buttons or hum notes into the Switch 2 controllers' microphone.

Companion features arrive via the Nintendo Switch app under Zelda Notes, which includes Today's Record to track chronological accomplishments, area visit durations, and screenshot logs akin to achievements.

The release is scheduled to launch on Nov. 5, bringing additional features like location photography quests, a digital Play Ocarina mode with QR code sharing, and a daily trivia quiz with two thousand questions.
