Ubisoft Montreal has unveiled Pandemos, the 17th character joining the March of Giants MOBA roster. Described as a plague doctor of pestilence, this giant utilizes experimental treatments and toxic afflictions to either damage opponents or support his team.
Pandemos features a versatile toolkit centered on his Afflicted Regiment passive, which infects soldiers to slow enemies and increase their vulnerability to Alchemical damage. His abilities include the Miasmic Flask for area-of-effect damage, Cure Toxin for healing and resistance, and Phobia Blight, which inflicts damage and fear. His ultimate, The Vector Plague, bounces between enemies to damage, slow, and turn soldiers against them.
Players can unlock Pandemos permanently by earning 1,000 Pioneer Points during the ongoing playtest. Points are awarded at 100 per win and 50 per loss, with additional boosters available via Twitch or the official Discord. The multiplier for these points will increase from 20% to 50% during the final days of the event.
The Pioneer Playtest for March of Giants concludes on Sunday October 18, with Pandemos becoming available to participants starting Monday October 12. Creative Director Xavier Marquis expressed confidence in the game's development despite the competitive nature of the MOBA genre.
