The official social media account for the RPG-dating simulation Love and Deepspace published a warning to players following the release of fictional cocktail recipes featuring potentially fatal real-world ingredients.
On September 28, the team revealed five Shimmering Blend recipes tied to an in-game event. Specific drinks included dangerous items, such as a beverage utilizing pomegranate juice garnished with cinnamon and datura, alongside another featuring sweet peach juice paired with gelatin sheets and a flame lily garnish.
Fans quickly raised alarm regarding the poisonous nature of datura and flame lilies. Datura is a psychoactive plant causing delirium, fever, tachycardia, and hallucinations, while flame lilies contain colchicine, which can cause fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethal hypovolemic shock. Commenters urged developers to delete the post entirely.
On September 30, the account issued a safety notice stating that the drinks are fictional and meant strictly for in-game purposes, instructing individuals not to recreate or consume them in reality.
