Voca AWPer Paytyn "junior" Johnson argues that North America features plenty of raw AWP talent, yet suffers from a shortage of high-level in-game leaders to push that talent forward.
Speaking with Dust2.us editor Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" after Voca secured a 2-0 victory over BESTIA at iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026, junior stated that promising regional players remain stuck because they lack strong IGL systems.
Junior highlighted Shakezullah's role in developing his own gameplay and noted JT's influence on rival oSee as examples of what robust IGL support can accomplish. Voca later suffered a 0-2 defeat against M80 in a decisive group stage match.
Published on September 26, 2026, the interview connects junior's journey to broader regional questions. Voca has pursued VRS points across limited LAN tournaments, with upcoming trips to Sweden and Argentina described as crucial for slim Major qualification chances.
