Player reception for The Coalition title Gears of War: E-Day is deeply divided, showing remarkably low scores on the official Xbox store that contrast sharply with other platforms.
On the digital Xbox storefront, the game holds an average of only 3.5 out of 5 stars derived from 1,200 reviews. While over half of the users awarded the top score, roughly 31% of the submitted evaluations consist of just one star.
Conversely, Steam users report greater satisfaction. Valve's platform lists 74.27% positive feedback from upwards of 4,000 reviews, keeping the title in positive territory.
Metacritic reflects a user score of 8.6, though this figure stems from a mere five individuals because the platform is blocking new user reviews until a specified future date.
