Rockstar Games is reportedly planning to bring GTA 6 to PC during the first quarter of 2027. This information originates from GamesBeat, which cites four anonymous sources. Neither Rockstar nor its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, have provided official confirmation regarding this timeline.
If the report is accurate, the PC version would arrive shortly after the console release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, which is scheduled for November 19, 2026. This potential window is notably shorter than the nearly two-year gap observed between the console and PC launches of GTA 5.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously emphasized that Rockstar prioritizes console releases to serve their core audience first. However, Zelnick has also noted that the company aims to reach consumers on any platform that makes sense over time, acknowledging that the industry is trending toward more open platforms.
While technical details remain unconfirmed, expectations suggest that a PC release could offer superior performance compared to consoles, provided the hardware is sufficient. Additionally, the PC launch might coincide with the debut of the game's anticipated multiplayer component, which Twitch CEO Dan Clancy suggested could arrive next year.
