Xbox has officially announced that the open-world racing title Forza Horizon 6 is arriving on the PlayStation 5 platform. The game is scheduled for release on January 26 next year, shifting from its previously confirmed 2026 window.
Players who choose to pre-order the premium edition of the title will receive early access to the software. This incentive allows those users to begin playing the game five days ahead of the general launch, starting on January 21.
The title has received positive critical reception, currently holding a 91 rating on OpenCritic. In a 9 out of 10 review, the publication described the game as an exceptional masterclass of racing that successfully blends arcade and simulation elements within an open-world depiction of Japan.
While the reviewer praised the game as a wonderful snapshot of Japanese car culture and sights, they noted that the experience features a familiar checklist of activities. Despite this, the game is highlighted for its expansive content and exploration opportunities.
