Despite internet comments suggesting otherwise, EA Sports FC 27 has instantly become one of the top-selling video games of the year, generating massive revenue.
According to Alinea Analytics, EA Sports earned over $714 million from FC 27 during its first 3 weeks of availability, selling approximately 8 million copies.
PlayStation consoles dominated sales with 77.1% of units, compared to 15.9% on Xbox and 7.0% on Steam, while older generation systems accounted for only 12.1% of revenue.
Alinea noted that PS5 revenue growth is tied to GTA 6, as players transitioned from older consoles and started the current generation with FC 27.
