Nintendo has announced the release of an official Family Computer and Nintendo Entertainment System photo book. Currently, the item is exclusively available for purchase by visitors at the Bonus Stage store located within the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, Japan. It remains unconfirmed whether this publication will eventually expand to other locations, such as the San Francisco or New York branches.
The hardcover tome measures 30cm by 30cm and comes enclosed in a slipcover. The slipcover displays the system logo, whereas the front cover is adorned with box art from various titles for the console. Spanning 168 pages, the book features photography dedicated to the hardware, controllers, games, and accessories.
Teaser images released in both Japanese and English highlight specific contents within the pages. These include Japanese peripherals such as R.O.B., the Power Pad, and a keyboard, alongside spread pages displaying Famicom cartridges alongside their internal game boards to illustrate size variations.
