Pearl Abyss has pushed back the release of the upcoming expansion Charting the Unknown for Crimson Desert by two weeks. The content, which was originally scheduled to launch on October 15, is now set to arrive on October 29. According to the developer, the short adjustment will provide additional development time needed to refine the content and ensure a more stable and polished gameplay experience.
Priced at $25, Charting the Unknown serves as the first major DLC for the game since Crimson Desert originally launched in March 2026. The expansion introduces new seas, ships, islands, underwater diving, explorable ruins, treasure, and additional mysteries. Furthermore, players can expect new enemies, bosses, quests, and story content.
The upcoming release also expands the game's home-building mechanics. Players will gain the ability to rent properties, operate facilities, and construct a more substantial home. Additionally, a new relationship system will enable users to form bonds with local residents located in Pywel.
