Writer Haris Orkin revealed recent plans regarding forthcoming downloadable content for Resident Evil Requiem during a panel appearance. He stated that the team is collaborating closely on the upcoming expansion project.
The narrative expansion will dive deeper into the background of Oswell E. Spencer. In the main game, Spencer appeared as a repentant figure seeking redemption instead of his traditional manic mentor depiction from prior titles.
Orkin explained his writing philosophy for antagonists, noting villains generally consider themselves protagonists. Players gain insight into this perspective during Spencer's storyline, which the expansion will explore further.
No release window has been officially confirmed for the downloadable content. Current rumors indicate the expansion may arrive following Resident Evil Veronica.
