Rockstar Games faces a significant security challenge as the group Cyberleek threatens to leak a fully playable version of GTA 6. The group claims this version contains the entire story from start to finish, potentially surfacing before the official release date of November 19, 2026.
The group is demanding that Take-Two Interactive issue a public apology regarding its distribution policies and commit to a physical release for the game. Additionally, Cyberleek has tied the potential leak to a financial ultimatum, stating they will release the game if a specific cryptocurrency they promote reaches a market capitalization of 30 million dollars.
Recent leaks include gameplay footage featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia in states of nudity. While these videos appear to show authentic gameplay, there is uncertainty regarding whether these character models are representative of the final commercial product or if they have been modified using development tools.
Take-Two Interactive is currently pursuing legal procedures to identify those responsible for the leaks, including requesting information from platforms like Discord and Microsoft. Despite these efforts, no evidence has been provided to confirm that the group actually possesses a complete, functional version of the game.
