The sequel to the original MMORPG, titled Aion 2, has achieved its full free-to-play global launch today following approximately 17 years. Publisher NCsoft released the game globally for PC users through Steam and Purple.
NCsoft highlights movement and flight freedom for the title, delivering aerial battles alongside environmental traversal. The combat mechanics combine timing, positional awareness, and precision alongside traditional tab-targeting elements.
According to developer statements, the launch package includes numerous dungeons, ten-player raids, and player-versus-player modes ranging from one-versus-one and four-versus-four to realm-versus-realm configurations.
Players can access a launch server list alongside a multi-day login event. Furthermore, purchasers of founder packs will see their cosmetic items unlocked across their entire accounts soon.
