Developer Oddiko has announced that the cooperative adventure game Meadgard will enter early access on Steam starting November 6. The title supports up to four players who must balance hunting mythical beasts with managing a Viking tavern.
Gameplay is divided into two distinct phases. During the day, players venture into the world to battle creatures, gather cooking ingredients, and recover hidden treasures. Combat encounters include facing trolls with frying pans and fending off mischievous nisse.
At night, the focus shifts to tavern management. Players must prepare meals, serve mead, and maintain order by stopping rowdy Vikings from causing chaos and catching thieving goblins. The ultimate goal is to build the tavern into a legendary banquet hall for Valhalla.
While the Steam store page currently supports Japanese, the game itself does not yet feature Japanese language support. Interested players can currently access a demo version of the title ahead of its early access release.
