Hamster announced that Arcade Archives 2 Stinger will be released on October 15 for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The title is priced at 1100 yen including tax.
Originally released by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1983, Stinger tasks players with piloting the Stinger Wolf to infiltrate an enemy base. A key mechanic allows players to summon a friendly robot named Bongo, which automatically attacks enemies during emergencies.
The Arcade Archives 2 series introduces a new user interface featuring detailed button mapping, rapid-fire settings, multiple save slots for Original Mode, and a rewind function. The game includes Original, High Score, Caravan, and Time Attack modes, with added support for variable refresh rate technology.
Owners of the previous Switch or PS4 versions of Arcade Archives Stinger can purchase the corresponding Switch 2 or PS5 versions for a discounted price of 330 yen. Additionally, an official Arcade Archiver broadcast is scheduled for the release date.
